We are a component of Balm In Gilead Ministries also known as “Big Ministries“. We are a not-for-profit Christian organization founded in April of 2001 in Chicago Illinois, by Dr. Mary M. George. Balm in Gilead Ministries (BIG) thrives as an anointed Christian educational training ministry. Our mission is to teach and enlighten individuals while ushering them into the knowledge of who they are in Christ Jesus and into the presence of the Lord. We believe in ministering to the “whole man” both spiritually and naturally; empowering individuals to function successfully in a holistic manner.
Balm in Gilead is a multifaceted ministry that offers leadership training to church leaders and parishioners. BIG Ministries conducts: Christian counseling: individual and family, biblical trainings and Christian workshop specialties that can be viewed on our website by clicking its name above.
Dr. Mary M. George is an ordained Evangelist who ministers through biblical teachings, counseling and facilitates Domestic Violence training to the religious community. She has served as Auxiliary Chaplain for the Cook County Sheriff’s Department where she provide spiritual care to those who have made wrong choices in life. She holds certificates of training in: Domestic Violence,
Sexual Assault,
Pregnant Teens,
Child abuse, Parent Trainer,
Alcohol and Substance Abuse,
Red Cross Disaster Services.
Dr. George holds a Doctor of Ministry Degree and has completed 500 Clinical training hours in Clinical Pastoral Educational Training (CPE). She has a sincere compassion for people, her goal is to educate, encourage, inspire and assist individuals to become empowered in the awareness of who they are in Christ Jesus and walk in that authority! Dr. George has ministered for several Christian organizations in the United States and internationally: on the waters of the Bahamas Islands, London England and Jerusalem. Dr. George also serves as a contributing writer for several national and international publishers.
